That pen is not the one he used. If you watch the video, the King _unscrews_ the cap. I guess the picture is fake. It seems that the pen is his personal Montblanc Solitaire, but I'm not sure of this.
King Charles signed with a Montblanc. Left-handed Prince of Wales William signed with a Vpen, and he was not the only one using it. Not fake at all. Check this video to see what happened: https://dai.ly/x8dldtr .

Everybody there signed with Vpen but King Charles. That's easy to check as there are many videos on the internet. The little post says it all: enough for a PRINCE.
And enough for anyone when wanting an affordable and reliable fountain pen to throw in your bag or bagpack to travel with no issues at all.
Yes, it was my mistake because in my head I have a direct link between "Charles" and "Prince of Wales"; I did not realise he is no longer the Prince, but the King.
However, I wonder about the ink in the V-Pen. They should use permanent ink for such signatures, shouldn't they? Is the ink in the V-Pen permanent?
Nothing can I say about the ink. We should ask the Royal Household on the matter. But remember those pens can be refilled.
About the quality and reliability of the Vpens... Enough has been said, and I was even mocked for having one always ready for the action. Great inexpensive pens. Might not be a coincidence there was at least one on the tray at the ceremony...
